Current Projects
As of writing, I have 90 subscribers (even a few paid ones!), and this page is only about three weeks old. I appreciate you joining me for this writing journey. Here’s what I currently have going on:
I’ve been sharing 3-4 posts per week: usually one original poem and two public domain poems. In addition to posting an intro and the text of each poem, I do a reading that’s posted here and on YouTube. I’ve done most of the setup for pushing the audio of those readings into the podcast space, but I wanted to get started and see how things were going before adding another channel.
In addition to what you’ve seen here, I’m editor-in-chief for my friend Wendy the Druid’s page, Thistle and Moss. I sometimes write about politics, LGBTQ+ issues, and religious trauma over there. Outside blogland, I write professionally for law firms, marketing agencies, and corporate clients. You can contact me here for professional writing/editing services.
All of the above will stay the same for the foreseeable future. Also, I will not paywall either my poems or the public domain poems (that would be sad irony).
Upcoming Projects
My original poems are building up into two book manuscripts that I plan to self-publish when I feel like I’ve written enough material (and have the $). I’ll tell you more about those manuscript concepts soon. For now, the tentative titles:
The Escape Act
Car
GuyGirl
I am working on some monetization ideas for the poems (broadside prints of individual poems, merch, etc.), though, like I said above, I will not put poetry behind the paywall on this site. You’ll always be able to stop in and read the poems I share here. As the book manuscripts come together a bit more, I’ll make some organizational changes to the site, so y’all can follow along.
Next up, I’m going to start doing some memoir writing. I don’t know if that is destined to become a third book, but we’ll see. I’ll share weekly(ish) posts for the memoir, which will be organized with help from my transition mixtape. I’ll start that project soon.
The memoir is where I’ll erect the paywall. That’s as much for my safety as it is an attempt at making money from my writing.
The End
Thank you all for your support. Now go call your members of Congress and demand that they stand up for trans rights.
